Company Overview
The Wyoming Public Health Laboratory (WPHL), as part of the Wyoming Department of Health (WDH) supports the State of Wyoming’s Public Health initiatives through diagnostic, toxicology, surveillance, and emergency preparedness activities. The laboratory comprises three programs, the Microbiology Program, the Chemical Testing Program, and the Bioterrorism Response Laboratory Program. In addition to providing diagnostic testing services in support of WDH programs, the Microbiology Program has a rich, collaborative relationship with the several WDH epidemiology programs and actively participates in many CDC and APHL workgroups. The Chemical Testing Program runs the State of Wyoming Breath Alcohol Testing Program and performs drug toxicology and alcohol testing in support of many Wyoming law enforcement programs. The Bioterrorism Response Laboratory is the state’s Laboratory Response Network - B laboratory. WPHL is located in Wyoming’s capital city of Cheyenne.
