About APHL
The Association of Public Health Laboratories (APHL) works to strengthen laboratory systems serving the public’s health in the US and globally. APHL represents state and local governmental health laboratories in the United States; this includes public health, agricultural, environmental and other related laboratories. Its members, known as “public health laboratories,” monitor and detect health threats to protect the health and safety of Americans. The association also provides technical assistance to strengthen laboratory systems in countries worldwide.
The APHL Job Center links laboratory scientists to employers at public health and clinical laboratories, research centers, universities and corporations. It offers opportunities for laboratorians at all levels, from technician to laboratory director.
