We are nearly 2,900 individuals working statewide to provide Idahoans with health and human services, access to health insurance programs, support to families and children, and hospitalization services for people with mental illness or intellectual disabilities. The department operates in 52 locations, of which 19 are publicly accessible throughout the state. In addition to field and administrative offices, the department also operates five visitation and counseling offices, four state institutions, the state lab, and State Comm, the emergency communications center.
