Salary Range:

$115,400 - $196,100

*Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.

What Your Job Will Be Like:

We are seeking a Team Lead for our Engineering Projects Production Team, 7544-2. As a Team Lead you will be responsible for overseeing a team of engineers, technologists, and tradesmen that are responsible for maturing and executing manufacturing capability within the Power Sources Group.

On any given day, you may be called on to:
  • Manage SNL production of components for Department 07549.
  • Be responsible for maintaining and improving existing production capabilities as well as utilizing continuous improvement techniques to develop new processes and capabilities.
  • Contribute to the recruitment, acquisition, and development of staff and other resources to support the current and possible future projects.

Qualifications We Require:
  • Master's degree in a relevant science, technology, engineering or mathematics (STEM) discipline; or a bachelor's and a doctorate in a relevant STEM discipline; or bachelor's in STEM plus 5 or more years of relevant STEM experience.
  • Active / Current DOE Q-Level security clearance.
  • 2 or more years of experience working in a production environment.

Qualifications We Desire:
  • Experience as an Industrial Engineer, Chemist, Material Scientist, or Chemical Engineer.
  • Familiar with Sandia RPPS and the qualification of WR processes.
  • Lean Certification.
  • Product Realization Team lead or equivalent experience.

Engineering Projects, Production (Org. 7544-2) manages activities related to components designed in Org. 7549. Responsibilities include planning activities, process development/improvement, and product acceptance.

Security Clearance:

Position requires a Department of Energy (DOE) Q security clearance to start, or equivalent active security clearance with another U.S. government agency (e.g., DOD).
