A position exists for an Equine Veterinarian with experience in artificial insemination and embryo transfer to join our team of reproduction veterinarians for the 2023/2024 breeding season. Experience in stallion services would be considered advantageous, however this is not essential.

Our purpose built WestVETS Reproduction Centre is located in Marburg, Queensland, approximately 50kms outside the Brisbane CBD and only a 1.5hr drive to iconic Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast. Our Reproduction centre is set on 65 acres with purpose built group and individual mare paddocks, stallion facilities, AIQS accredited facilities and a large recipient mare herd.  Our reproduction laboratory is well equipped and includes computer assisted semen analysis technology and in house microbiology.

Our Reproduction Centre is well staffed and you would join a team of 4 experienced reproduction veterinarians as well as junior vet associates. Our reproduction vets are also supported by an accredited Equine Hospital with a large team including specialists in surgery and medicine. We enjoy a high standard of practice with a friendly and supportive environment and low staff turnover. 

A contract position exists from September 2023 to end of January/February 2024. Full time permanent employment would be considered for a practitioner suitably experienced in general equine practice.  Applicants must be able to be registerable with the Veterinary Surgeons Board of Queensland.  See our website www.westvets.com.au for further information about our facilities and services offered.
