Job Description

The Animal Health Future Talent Rotational Program exposes students to the commercial, manufacturing, and research and development segments of the animal health industry through a unique cohort experience. This part-time position will allow four current undergraduate students to complete three 5-month rotations as part-time employees during the academic year (~20 hours/week) and summer 2024/2025 (~40 hours/week). This opportunity can expose you to diverse career opportunities in the animal health sector, gain real-world experience across the industry, set long-term career goals, and develop as a professional.

The Future Talent Rotational Program Associates will work across various environments in the Animal Health division and have a project focus in each rotation. In each rotation, a student will connect with a mentor, experience job shadowing, complete team-focused project work, and build professional skills. Associates will also represent the company at industry events as ambassadors for our future talent programs and partnerships.

Project work during the academic school year will be part-time and hybrid, with a potential to be fully remote. Project work during the summer will be full-time and in-person with locations to be determined after applying. Project work may include occasional travel to various industry events or company sites.

Applications for this position will be reviewed in December. Interviews will begin in December/January.

Required Education and Experience:
  • Candidates must be enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in Animal Science, Life Science, Veterinary Science, Biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Protein Science, Biomedical Engineering or Biotechnology, or related field.
  • Candidates must be planning to graduate May 2025.
  • Candidates must be able to work 20-25 hours / week in Fall 2024 and Spring 2025 semesters.
  • Candidates must be able to work 40 hours / week in Summer 2023 and Summer 2024.
  • Candidates must be able and interested to work across a variety of environments - research lab, manufacturing facility, office, and remotely.
  • Candidates must have excellent interpersonal/communication skills.
  • Candidates must have computer skills including accurate record-keeping and working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Candidate must be organized, manage their time, be able to adapt to a changing environment, and work independently.

Preferred Experience and Skills:
  • Strong interest in laboratory and clinical research, and solving scientific problems.
  • Basic laboratory skills and research experience.
  • Veterinary or animal science experience.
